Embroidery with Attitude – Sewing up your interior Part III

Rosie Geissler

If you believe that embroidery does not have attitude then you have obviously not collided with the stitching of British artist Rosie Geissler. She is a very passionate, dedicated embroidery designer with enthusiasm for image and typography  in her design.RosieG Embroidery was created in 2010 by Rosanna Geissler. All Embroidery artwork are created by Rosie her friend the sewing machine. The sewing is all free hand so no two pieces will ever be the same. Rosie’s work is certainly not based on the traditional “Home Sweet Home” cross stitch ideal, but she does produce work that is equally at home for children, through to a little bit more of an adult rating.  One thing is for sure….. “never underestimate the power of a woman with a sewing machine”.

Typography

Much of Rosie’s work centres around the use of typography and words.  The sort of phrases that will put a little smile on your face.
